My high school Spanish class went to the Mexican Village on a field trip when it first opened in 1962 on Broadview Rd. It was then the first Mexican restaurant in Cleveland. The family has not changed the recipes a bit since then. The enchiladas with chile sauce (actually a savory rich brown chile-gravy) are heavenly. The cuisine is more Tex-Mex than Mexican, but whatever the genre, it's all heavenly.
