Chef Anthony realized he loved cooking at a young age when he rolled pizza dough to make fresh Italian style pizza with his grandmother and mother. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America with career stops in Key West, Florida, Delaware and Washington, DC, Anthony brings more than 15 years of experience in culinary delights to Lakewood's Players on Madison. With casual, American cuisine, Anthony specializes in combining simple foods and light sauces to create flavor and texture for every dish.

No matter what one orders, Players always delivers the best. Thin crust, crispy and that touch of French bread...yum!
I have been going to Players for many years and have never had anything but the best in service, and food. It is a little gem right in our neighborhood! Anonymous was probably just having a bad day.
Our food was wonderful. Unfortunately our experience there was less than wonderful. For such a beautiful restaraunt with superb food our server was awful. She was very slow, never asked about refills or after dinner drinks. Very unattentive for a server in such a fine restaurant. The service does not make me want to return.
Tony is the greatest chef!
Whenever I walked by the restaurant, I would joke that it seemed that no one was ever eating, only drinking wine or looking at menus. When I finally ventured inside, I was delighted to find it was the most delicious of non-snooty yet still highbrow cuisine!
