Co-owners Jim and Mary Stamper are your hosts, a rarity these days of chain operated places. Jim and Mary worked for more than twenty years at the Tam O'Shanter Inn in Lakewood during which time "the Tam" became one of Lakewood’s most well-known and successful neighborhood bars. Jim may best be known for his appearances at Cleveland Indians home games with his "Muscle Wahoo" signs. (Check out the "Muscle Wahoo" painted behind our stage.) We opened November 3, 1998, although the discussions of the "ultimate neighborhood bar" between Jim and Mary Stamper and their partners, Jim and Susan Smith, originated 10 years earlier. The Smiths are still actively involved in the behind the scenes operations of the pub.

Mary and Jim are great - we're so fortunate they are a part of Fairview Park. Stamper's is a great Neighborhood Bar & Grill as well as a great Sports Bar.
The patio, live music & people are great. It's amazing how it can be a family friendly place in the early evening and a stomping good time later at night.

Love the food and the patio. Good place for families also. Summer dinners on the patio are the best. Friendly and courteous staff. Not far from home.

i don't think it's fair that a previous winner of best sports bar just signs up for best neighborhood bar and gets away with it.....you can't enter in more than one catagory,or you shouldn't be able to
